Can a Kemper control a GP-10?

Time has passed and I'm wondering if the Kemper is able to send patch changes to the GP-10 so I can automatically select different guitar models/tunings in the GP10 when I change a performance slot on the Kemper?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have Kemper foot controller?

The GP-10 does not have Midi ports, only USB, so to interface, you will need a USB host device which can support Roland/Boss USB devices.

I have both a Kemper Rack and a Kemper Stage.
I've seen some people that are using the Kemper with the GP-10, I just wasn't clear on what functionality there were able to get to work together.
I just need to be able to change guitar models and tunings.
Assuming I can put hose in patches, so if I can change patches of the GP-10 with the Kemper, then I should be good.

5 years ago there are a few who use GP-10 with  a Raspberry Pi as USB Host to MIDI Adapter,

And others have used GP-10 essentially as a Variax for guitar modelling only , GP-10 Left mono Out into Kemper Guitar Input, but Apple Mainstage to control both

But today thanks to Kemper firmware updates I believe the Kemper may finally be able to control the GP-10

But a Raspberry Pi and a bit of programming  can add the missing 5 pin MIDI I/O to GP-10.

Should be easy with a laptop...but if you can get your hands on a Primova MIDX-10/20 that'll sort you out nicely and directly.

How would I' connect the Kemper to the GP-10.... via USB?
So, would I not need the Primova MIDX-10/20 then?

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I'm just a bit confused still.

Not via USB

Use Kemper  5 pin MIDI Out to Roland UM-One MKII USB <>MIDI Cable to Rasperry Pi with custom setup

Connect RPI USB Host to GP-10 USB
Explained here

OK, I finally get it....Thank you.

So, I either use the MDIX-10
or
I get this whole setup with the Roland UM-One MKII USB <>MIDI Cable to Rasperry Pi with custom setup
or
BomeBox would possibly be another option

Thanks for your patience, I know that was probably painful to get through to me!!!

Or option D: Trade the GP-10 for an SY-1000 (which is 3 x GP-10 in one box) as the SY-1000 has Midi In/Out ports and quite a comprehensive midi relaying system.

Yeah, I know, but that would put me at around 3 times the price.
I really just need it for the occasional acoustic part and for tuned down guitar parts, of which I only have a couple in the music I play..... at least for now.

I bought 2 JTV Variax guitars to do that but the tech at Line 6 kept telling me I couldn't add a DiMarzio Super Distortion pickup, or a Sustainiac, or control it via MIDI.
So I'm probably gonna turn around and sell off those 2 guitars I bought and just use the GP-10 instead.
The nice thing is, I should be able to use it with any guitar I already have just by moving the GK-3 from one guitar to another.
The GP-10 can stay on my pedalboard where it belongs.

From what I've heard, the GP-10 guitar models sound better than the JTV guitar models anyway.
Any opinions on that?

perhaps you could use some of your guitar sale money to get some more GK-3, best price I know of is from Andertons in UK. I recently got an internal kit for about £95 delivered, mainly because I need the board to test out a pickup I'm working on.

No, I'm not connected with Andertons other than being a customer...

Yeah, this is going to be a double post because I just posted these questions elsewhere after seeing that....

I'm looking at this internal pickup kit...  https://www.andertons.co.uk/roland-gk3-internal-pickup-kit

These go for over $300 here in the states..... am I missing something?
Is this just the pickup portion, and I still have to use the big controller thing that you normally plug you mags out put into, or does this replace that whole thing?

Also, I have a PRS SE that already has a Ghost LB63 with piezos in it and an Acoustiphonic preamp.
It looks like the Hexpander option would be the best way to go since I'm almost there anyway, even though it looks like it would still be a little more expensive than this internal mount kit from Andertons.

I also have a couple of Gibson guitars that I would really rather not mount the GK-3 Divided Pickup on.  Could I use a Ghost Piezo Bridge with the Roland GK3 Internal Pickup Kit instead of using the GK-3 Divided Pickup?  Are they compatible?

yes, you are missing something!  ;D
As I said, I mainly bought the kit because I needed the board, so it's not just the pickup. The listing at Andertons shows you what you getRoland GK3 Internal Pickup Kit
The big controller thing is the external GK-3, with the internal kit you put all those bits inside the guitar, ideally replacing the abomination of a 13 pin socket with one of Gumbo's synthlinx https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=8888.msg63872#msg63872
Hope that helps
