Non-guitar question: Anyone know where to get advice on a digital drumkit that has developed a habit of splattering random hits? 13 pin, yamaha. Only happens when triggering MIDI, not when using sounds built into module, so I know the pads are good.

It's my daughter's Yamaha DTX 500. Has a 5 pin MIDI cable she says she replaced not long ago.

What software instrument is she triggering? You may have to check - and adjust - pad sensitivity until you get a happy balance. I had to do this with my Roland kit triggering superior drums.
