Can anyone comment on the differences between the latency and stability of the bass-to-midi function of the VB-99 compared to triggering PCM tones on the GR-55 in bass mode?

Triggering GR55 Bass to internal PCM synths will have lower latency vs VB99 Bass to MIDI

A bass with GK 13 pin pickup will trigger the VB-99 COSM Models faster with lowest latency

Bass to MIDI is atrocious , unplayable.

I measured it to 100/120ms on low B.

That's why COSM is a god sent.

Can't comment on PCM , never used a GR55

The GR-55 PCM synth is between COSM modelling and pitch to midi.

Not playable on it's own, but with the GR-55 you can mix in COSM modelled tones to substitute the missing/delayed note attack.
