Hi!

First post here.
And first of all, let me thank you for the huge amount of information on this forum.
I'm considering to get a used Boss GT-100 and have a (kind of) silly question:
would be better to put an ACS1 or Iridium on the send/return or connect the stereo output of GT-100 on ACS1/Iridium?

Welcome to VGuitarForums !!  8)

ACS1 placement would traditionally be based on useage,
for live amp in the room, placed at the GT-100 after the Stereo outputs,
for recorded sound with effects added after, then in the S/R Loop.

The best place is where it sounds good to you.

Thanks, gumtown!

It's nice to have this option.
After a neverending search for a multi effects, I'm leaning to get a GT-100, the last and most advanced (if I'm not mistaken) of the COSM era. I like the possibilities of having eight assigns for patches. And the effects preserve their "awesomeness".
Even though it's always tempting to listen the effects of his big brother 1000 or the newbie ultramodern GX.
One thing for sure: Boss multieffects will always have the best modulation.
Thanks again for the info in this forum.

That would be the 2014 BOSS GP-10
.or arguably the latest Katana Amp which is based on GT-100

COSM is just a 1994-2014 marketing branding name for Roland/Boss DSP Modeling

Today Roland/Boss calls it AIRD

Why not considering a GT-1000?

Hi, Elantric!

I must thank you for the great work here (and on TGP).

GT-1000 is too expensive for me (699€). So, I'm making my mind to forget the new effects and new technology on it and find arguments/reasons (other than money) to get a GT-100 for 270€.

I'd consider a GT-1
I use that both live and recording, I also have SY-1000 and GP-10.
GT-1 has less fx possibilities and assigns but sounds great imo.

I play Country music too, I'm just not sure which country it's from...

Really?
I've never tried one. In fact, I didn't pay too much attention in it until now.
Are the "Dimension C" and "Space Echo" in there?
It's also COSM, right? But even so has some significant differences to GT-100?

I don't know if those fx are in there , I program my own and I use what's in there and the fx sounds great.

And yes I guess it's cosm but it's later in production than GP-10 and sounds great.
I don't even bother to use the SY-1000 a lot ( which is basically the same as GT-1000)for only normal Pickup. Most of the time I use GT-1 for that.
before getting GT-1 I used GP-10 for normal PU along with SY-300.

I'd recommend trying one, it's cheap , lightweight, has a small footprint and sounds good.
