I have to agree whole heartedly, Elantric.
That's my favorite Zappa period. I caught maybe a half dozen shows based around that configuration in the mid 70s. Fantastic musicians. My favorite show was sitting in the third row at the old Circle Star Theater in San Carlos CA circa 1975/6. Tom Waits opened with a backup bassist and drummer. Frank opened then asked what we wanted to hear. Almost unanimously, "STINKFOOT!" He said they never played it in public before and then Frank counts out "1-2-3-4", and they let it  rip. OMFG, when they got to the guitar solo, the band walked off, leaving Frank and his wahed SG alone to shred for a three stage rotation 12 minute solo, before the band returned. Simply stunning. The band came back and they all played Sofa, Chrome Dinette, Montana, San Ber'dino, and other treasures. One of my best concert experiences ever. He da man! That rotating stage was sadly dismantled a few years ago. At maybe only 20 rows deep, every seat was great. Dweezil carries the Zappa flag quite well though, an awesome musician in his own right.

I grew up in Cupertino in -'63-'69, and remember the Circle Star Theater very well!

I just googled because I recall that venue had an unusual logo that ran in bay area newspapers in the entertainment section. - and found this:

Frank Zappa's long-anticipated film Roxy: The Movie will be released by Eagle Rock Entertainment and Zappa's Honker Home Video on October 30. You can watch the trailer for it below.

Filmed over three nights in December 1973 at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, the project was shelved due to the expense and time required to edit the footage. Multiple cameras were used, and syncing the sound from three nights of shows proved a huge task.

Written and directed by Zappa, the film has finally been completed through the efforts of his wife, Gail, son Ahmet and Jeff Stein.

Parts of the concerts were released in 1974 on the double-LP set Roxy and Elsewhere,, which mixed material from thee shows with performances recorded months afterward. The album is considered one of Zappa's best, owing to his performances as well as those of his band, which includes keyboardist George Duke, bassist Tom Fowler and percussionist Ruth Underwood.

Roxy: The Movie will be available on DVD and Blu-ray with an exclusive soundtrack. For more

This version of Bolero is so good. Got the right amount of whimsy and sleaze! Especially the Trombone, (great dancer).
