Hey All,
I've got a 300 Frankenstein and a 500.
I'd like to build a Lipo battery into the battery compartment but Lipo's are 3.7v-4.2v. So 2 would make it 7.4v-8.4v.
I know the those particular guitars run on 6 AA cells=9v, 9v battery and the XPS puts out 7.2v to the guitar via the tip/ring/sleeve 1/4 jack.
Does anyone know the max voltage for these models?
I would probably add a voltage regulator circuit for current limit protection. I don't want 20 amps smoking' my Varian's.

Thx,
Techfixer
Hi, I'm TechFixer.... I'm a gear-A-Holic and I have a problem. (Hi TechFixer!!) Pretty much every Roland guitar synth from the GR-50 to the VG-99. Roland VGA amps too. Lefty Line 6 500 Variax (converted to strung righty) FrankenPeavey ATG and Fishman TP

I use the rechargeable enloop Panasonic AA's  they are less V than the throwaway AAs and they work fine.
