A recent WIDI uHost firmware update gave the uHost USB compatibility with most Roland/Boss devices (non-USB compliant types which usually require a driver).

I tested the CME WIDI Uhost last night with the VG-99 (works), GP-10 (works) and the SY-1000 (doesn't work) over USB.

For some reason the Uhost automatically powers itself off when connected to the devices after a minute or so.

I typically use the Uhost with the KMI Softstep 2 and it doesn't exhibit the same behaviour.

I may just be getting greedy here, but is there any way to get rid of the cord on my Godin SA as well as the cord from my GP-10 to the interface?

Even if the UHOST still needs to be plugged into my GP-10 if there was a way to go wireless from the Godin to the GP-10 that would be fantastic. In some cases, (e.g., just using the midi signal and not sounds from GP-10) if there was a way to go right to a DAW without the GP-10 that would be great as well, but I'm assuming the GP-10 is needed for conversion and there is no practical "on-board" solution for that. I really don't know, though.

I did a quick search, but couldn't find this scenario exactly. Thanks.

Your Guitar (Godin 13 pin or GK 13 pin fitted) is completely analog, carrying 6+1 analog audio channels + Voltage controls for GK Volume and S1/S2.

A CME Widi uHost is only for USB port midi data devices.

So no compatibility there,
