Question to those who received their SY1000 :

- When booted in bass mode , are the parameters different from what we see in BTS ?
Wondering if the drop menu contains all parameters from both modes or only the gtr mode.

I still don't know when I'll receive mine , ordered mid-January , I can't wait to compare to the VB99

Currently BTS for SY-1000 in OFFLINE Mode only runs in Guitar Mode

Refer to the SY-1000 Reference Manual - search on "BASS" to see the Parameters available in BASS MODE

On Physical SY-1000 in BASS MODE, yields a different set of available ( and unavailable) parameters all drop down menus for INST Blocks and Amp  / Cab Models

Boo, hiss !  :-[

We bass folk have rights as well y'know.
Why can't we have a BTS offline mode too ?

See if its listed here

The OSC Synth has a Ring Modulator
OSC SYNTH
RING
This is a ring modulator. It generates a complex waveform by multiplying OSC1 and OSC2.

And in each FX Block there is:

RING MOD
This creates a bell-like sound by ring modulating the guitar sound with the signal from the internal oscillator.
The sound can be unmusical and lack distinctive pitches.

So there is no Poly ring generator that I can add to other synths generator or COSM basses ?

Correct

IMHO SY-1000 is not a direct replacement for VG-99 or VB-99  - as there are gaps in the SY-1000 feature set vs the older units

But likewise SY-1000  does provide new functions not found in either VG-99 or VB-99 (collect them all)
