I can imagine an EHX multi-effects box to sell for $998, which supports effect plug-ins sold for $98 each.

Pre-installed with a variety of plug-ins for good distortions, keys models, synth models, echo/delays/choruses - you name it.

Would have "real-knobs-tweakable" operation, with simple stomp switch display similar to Morningstar's MC6, and a separate one above the knobs to denote the knob parameter being tweaked.

In/out on the back, MIDI jacks, USB jack for plug-ins downloads from your laptop. Would make good money up-front, and real money selling plug-ins ...

Others thoughts for an EHX multi-effects unit?
