Hi.

Just wanted to let you guys know that a new VST hardware box will be shipping next week (I think).

Would be a nice little box for the VG-99 guitar-to-midi and I'll certainly be buying one.

I have been watching SMpro for quite awhile now, but they keep on delaying the date when the V-machine will be shipping. I am curious though whether it really lives up to its expectations. At least they finally updated the website. But still no list of compatible plug-ins. I mailed them once and they said they would publish this soon, but it is not there. So if anyone has a V-machine, keep us posted...

Yes - At NAMM last year I had a look at this one (or was it the AES before that).
It does look interesting.

Sounds like they are still working out the bugs.  It could take awhile.
Lots of Gear. :)

I already found someone on a Dutch synthforum who has it and has posted some pictures.

Here is the URL with a googlish translation of the double-Dutch: http://tinyurl.com/67wyzr

The software, which supposedly came out today, has been delayed again bij SMPro. It is supposed to be freeware (heard that on a german video, for those who speak german: http://www.musotalk.de/angecheckt/detailansicht/article/sm-pro-audio-v-machine/), . If it is indeed true, then Mac users should be able to run VSTs on their Macs without actually buying the unit. Sounds to good to be true. Maybe my German is not that good after all ;D

FWIW

This works well as a VST Host on MAC or Windows platforms

The interesting thing about the way SMPro's VST hosting software is supposed to work is that it SHOULD allow people to open up and use Mac VSTs on a PC and PC VSTs on a Mac.

Does reaper do this too?
