Not long got my Katana head.

3 reasons really:

1. I use an AXE FXII and various different cabs so wanted a small but powerful power amp, going straight into the effects return gives me a great backline.

2. Its my backup if my Fractal unit fails, throw its pedalboard down and I get 8 presets that will get me through a gig.

3. Its my rehearsal amp, we rehears at low volume using midi drums so the small inbuilt speaker does the trick.

So my question is can another external midi pedalboard such as the behringer FCB1010 with the two expression pedals be used with the amp, or does anyone have any other suggestions? Just to expand its capabilities in a live situation.

Cheers Guys

if you are a power user and seek far more MIDI control beyond the limited choices Boss provided on Katana Head, then the fast track for extensive Katana MIDI control is the Primovasound MIDX-20 USB host to MIDI box - which has a  special Katana MIDI interpreter, that allows much deeper control using typical MIDI foot controllers
