"KXM Lynch" is an attempt at George Lynch's generic guitar tone on the KXM project.

The patch uses 2 separate modelled virtual guitars and amp & FX chains to recreate a heavy, tone and a half drop, double tracked, nicely spread, rhythm sound.

Not only this but hit CTL1 and you've got my take on George's characteristic "pick up is more in the neck than near it" lead tone with optional Wah via EXP1. Give it loads of exaggerated vibrato to add authenticity.

Operation:

GK3 only

CTL1 = lead mode
EXP1 switch = WAH on/off
EXP1 rocker = WAH

I also created a Dug Pinnock patch for the bass on this track which I'll post in the bass section.

The demo isn't double tracked - it's just the patches on their own. TRacks was used for mastering and a bit of verb was added to the solo.

Enjoy the first patch of 2015!  :D

Love this demo!

I don't suppose you've got a longer version of it?

I like it too.  Gotta add it to the online live library.

I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. - Richard P. Feynman

Thanks for kind words :)

Nothing longer available I'm afraid - I did the demo purely to demonstrate the two patches. I took a bit of influence from the track "Ride" off Ty Tabor's rock Garden album (essential purchase for Kings X fans)

The drums are Steinberg Groove Agent 2 though Stilwell rocket compressor (great free VST plug) and then the whole mix went through T Racks (I think it was the loud suite preset)
