QuotePolyfx Distortion , Color adjusts the amount of separation for chords. Higher settings produce
chords less muddy.

The parameter color ( above ) affects the pan in a very weird way.
Too the point that I had to switch guitar and cables three times to be sure.
Even a slightly turned down color makes my panning all screwed up.
Not in a way I'd expect but FI a pan set to string 1 didn't work, instead
String number 6 changed the pan on number 1 etc etc.

The sound and pan became unpredictable.
Sometimes it came from different pans , two sounds ( the same string )
Maybe worth exploring for odd effects but good to remember.
( I'm not sure if the levels where affected also )
Anyw , check it out

Maybe you all have come across this but I thought I'd report it.

Redvers

I suppose you have a fully separated poly dist, one sound per string, panned to taste, and then when you turn the colour down it blends in a mono summed signal like a regular distortion ? I know this doesn't explain what's happening regarding weird panning behaviour but it must be the cause.

Yes but it's not acting in a way that one would expect.
I'd thought that the pan would decrease depending on
how much of the mono signal blends in and turn towards the centre.
The way it would work in a mix.
It's way weirder , at least in my GP.
Its all over the place.
