Hello everyone!  I would like to keep the on-board pedal as a volume pedal but my EV-5 as an expression pedal such as a wah controller.  Can I do that? How?  It seems that I can only use it as a volume controller.

Thanks!

QuoteHere's a new GT-1 Video Tutorial I made earlier today :)

It shows how to assign multiple parameters and change preamps.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks Elantric! I still can't find how to assign my EV-5 as an FX pedal such as a wah.  The only choice I see is to assign it as a volume controller.

Long press (press and hold) the button for the external expression pedal for the list of available functions. Took me a while to figure this out as well.

edit: Apparently I am mistaken. I apologize! I was looking at the options under "FX2" rather than the "EX2". You're right, all I see is the option for volume control!

Here is the path:

  • Memory Edit
  • turn the knob 1 clockwise to select one Assign (named A1 to A6), after the master section and different parts (from CT1 to EX2)
  • Enter
  • Assign:ON, Source:EXP2, Mode:Moment, Category:Pedal FX, Target:WahPdPos
I hope it works for you this time  ;)

What make/model  Expression pedal are you using?
( it must be a Boss EV-5 or equivalent)

Yes - I have the EV-5 and I use it with the BR800 recorder.
