I posted this as a tip on another site,
but thought it might be of value to those that want to get the most out of their MS-3 using an EXP pedal.

Another handy tip for an EXP pedal is to glue soft rubber pads under the toe and heel ends,
normal EXP range does your regular control stuff,
and a hard press at either end works like an EXP switch (which how the Boss gear with built in EXP pedal switch works).
So your EXP normal range is 1 to 126,
hard press one ends sends the EXP pedal range value to 0 the other end to 127.
And set an Assign to toggle between EXP values of 0 & 1, and 126 & 127.

very interested in this. so how does it exactly work?
what i want to do is go between foot volume and pedal bend or wah depending on patch without having to hit a footswitch. hope that makes sense.

thanks

Is there a way to celebrate the expression pedal?

Thanks, Jimmy.

I guess I ment to type calibrate. Likely a common mistake on smaller devices now a days.

apparently no

"You can connect an expression pedal and footswitch as necessary. If your setup includes these, you can use them to control the volume or
specific parameters. If you connect an expression pedal and footswitch, turn off the power before connecting them."

Use only "Expression pedal: EV-30, FV-500L, FV-500H, Roland EV-5"

these contain a 10 Linear Pot wired like this

Alternate EV-5 compatible Expression pedals  are listed here:
