Boss GT-5 some simple quests...

Hi all, long time out of here... too much work... :(

Some months ago i buy a GT-5 and all works ok...
I wish to know : the GT-5 OD/DS is true analogic ?
Have some patch editor like as GR-55 Floorboard ?

GT-5 has digitally controlled analog Gain and Overdrive elements

GT-5 uses an early 18bit Phillips CODEC  / and Roland DSP code)

The GT-5 manuals says on page 4:

"By providing a digital preamplifier that combines the leading-edge COSM technology with analog distortion provided by BOSS, the GT5 can create all kinds of distortion sounds."

So Boss stated the distortion section was analog in their own literature.

Yeah this is what the general understanding is on the Net about them. I just thought it seemed odd that so many people believed the overdrive/distortion section (not the amp emulation section) was actually analog. If it was a misconception it was all but totally accepted as the the truth by nearly every reviewer. They sound good any way. I love my -3 and -5.
