Not really... just like the gunslinger sound of it.

I signed up for the forums a few months ago and have been an on/off lurker since then.  I've learned a tremendous amount from reading some of the threads, and it seems like this is a great community of like minded synth-nuts (I mean that in the nicest possible way).

I've been playing guitar at the amatuer level for about 20 years, mostly in small local bars.  Most recently, I play with an acoustic act in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

I've always played in original bands, and earlier this year fulfilled a longtime wish of getting a guitar synth.  The GR-55 seemed like a good place to dip my feet in considering that it would all be pretty new to me.  Around that time I also purchased a Godin xtSA.  I got a good deal on the GR-55 so I got the one with the GK-3 and installed that on an old Harmony strat that is my main "at home" guitar for writing.  I installed the RMC OPT-1 filter on the GR-55 based on the information that I got from these boards.

Everything is going good so far, and this week for the first time, I felt comfortable enought to put my acoustic aside and go to practice with my Godin and GR-55 rig (the only other piece of it is a Boomerang III after the GR-55 and then straight to the mixer).

I hope that I'll be able to contribute some to this community down the road as I eventually become more familiar and move out of newbie status!
