You never know how these things will play out. I've been through so many audio interfaces over the years for similar reasons. MS will release it's "Windows of the Month" and suddenly a device is unsupported or it's latency goes through the roof. The more frequently MS cycles their OS's the worse this situation becomes. But Win7/64-bit has had a good run, and so I'm having a few nice surprises lately. I just pulled a 10-year old M-Audio Delta 66 out of storage to find that it finally works again! I can't tell you how many times I've considered selling it for a dollar - I just never thought there would be robust drivers for it again. Now it's working better than any of my USB 2.0 interfaces. I'm just lucky that desparation drove me to plug it in and give it another go!

I sometimes get betters sounds changing Global Output Settings in some patches (combo return, stack front, etc). An option to change between global mode and patch mode could be interesting.
CrumbledFingers:
I'd be tickled pink to have a usable USB interface on my 99. As it stands, changing patches interrupts any audio stream, making it pointless in live situations.

Well, 5yrs later and I don't suspect we'll be getting a V2 firm update anyway.

I passed out 3 years ago holding my breath for that one.
