I tried to set up the GR-55 with just an acoustic guitar model and a user scale set up to use the Guitar Craft tuning that Robert Fripp uses.  The tuning is C, G, D, A, E, G from low to high string.  Unfortunately this is pretty unusable especially when going up the neck.  I start to get a distorted warbling when playing notes on the E and high G strings around the 7th fret and up.  The C string also sounds a bit rubbery.  So I guess this is not to be.  I could try retuning my guitar to the tuning but it then the other alternate tunings wouldn't work.  I used to work with this tuning a lot years ago and had wanted to delve in again without dedicating another guitar to it but it seems to be the only solution.  On the bright side, I used the Open G tuning on Zep's That's The Way and it sounds really nice.
