My 2 cents - be careful with these recent Powered Speakers with DSP EQ (like the EV ZRX) - understand that with current technology you will experience an additional 5-8 milliseconds latency that gets added due to the EV ZRX's A/D - DSP EQ - D/A  round trip.

If you are using a Guitar to MIDI system  , its a good idea to understand and calculate the latency timing delay for each component of the entire audio signal path for your System. If the total system latency is too long, and you expect to play live in time with your band, you must adjust your playing technique to play ahead of the beat. This is something I find impossible if I'm playing an improvised solo - too much math for my brain.

My choice would be stick with powered speakers that have an Analog signal path   = zero latency.

Many here use the EV ELX112P instead.

Thanks for the advice.
Saved me a trip to buy one.
Im using a GR-55 so I guess the latency issue applies. Is that correct?

Correct - the GR-55 is only part of the "Total System Latency" equation. Eliminating other additional sources of Total System Latency is my point.
