I'm using my G-System to control patches on the GR-55.  Works great.  I don't know much about midi and am wondering if there's a way to coordinate tempo between the 2 units, meaning that if I tap out a tempo on the G-System it will set the GR-55 effects (like delay) at the same tempo.  The Midi-Sync switch on the GR-55 doesn't seem to work for this and I'm not sure if it's because the G-System is not sending the right midi codes.  Thanks for any help.

QuoteI recently bought a new GR55 to hook it up with my Guitar Rig (consisting of a Mesa Dual Rectifier Head and a TC Electronics G-System only). After some trials I managed the patch changes performed as I want them to do but THE THING which keeps bothering me is the Midi Clock. As soon as I turn on "Midi Sync" (as said in the GR55 Manual) the GR55 seems to receive something, but something wrong – Patches like "GroovePusher", "HouseFire" or "Sequence Trio" begin to produce a constant tone, like the Midi Clock is way to fast or something.
I couldn't really figure out whether its the G-System not sending a midi clock or the GR55 not receiving a midi clock.
In a TC Guide to Midi Clock (Youtube) they just define a CC Message for the tap tempo on the system and define the same Message in the Delay Menu on the "listening"-Device (in the video its a G-Major). But there's nothing like that in the GR55, at least I didn't find it. Roland's manual just tells me to connect both devices and everything should be fine.

I don't think I isn't possible – The GR55 is a good and new device and the G-System is likely the most expensive Multieffect-/Controlsystem on the Market !

That's all I can tell you by now – Anything more you need to know ?
Oh yeah ... maybe I mention that changing the tempo via the GR55's CRTL-Knob works flawless – But the GR55 is intented to stay in the rack and not on the floor

Please please help me !!!

Regards and thanks in advance from Germany,

I understand  the G system does not  talk or read "MIDI Clock sync" and it depends on what firmware is in the G system.
