Pretty up to date kernel version 4.4.0.

No audio.
No midi.
No nothing.  :(

A little probe of the USB device descriptor, nothing but:

  bDeviceClass          255 Vendor Specific Class
  bDeviceSubClass       255 Vendor Specific Subclass
  bDeviceProtocol       255 Vendor Specific Protocol
  ...
  bDeviceClass          255 Vendor Specific Class
  bDeviceSubClass       255 Vendor Specific Subclass
  bDeviceProtocol       255 Vendor Specific Protocol

It looks like when I'm done reverse engineering the Katana, I will have to learn how to write my own drivers.

I have posted there and it shows how bad things are. Close to 4 years and only open-source drivers for a handful of models.
Hopefully the snd-usb-podhd one turns out to be helpful in figuring out how Line 6 makes their devices.

This is the project that gets Audio/Midi eventually written into the Linux Kernel.

Yeah I talked with the Alsa guys before to debug audio for the Katana.
Which led to a very detailed bugreport but is stagnant from there https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=195223

I think the number of people that 1) own these devices. 2) are determined to use Linux and 3) have the time and skills to develop drivers. Are just very few people.
