Ok, so when these guitars had the GK pickups factory installed I'm thinking that switch molded a cavity just above the bridge to get them to fit. Based on what I'm seeing I'm gonna need to carve out chunk of material.

I do remember seeing somewhere that once you pierce the outer 'shell' of these guitars, that there is almost like a drywall material inside. This explains the white chalky stuff that was in the electronics cavity of mine...

I've never seen a guitar with a layout like this. The action is really low, with no buzzing at all. Problem is to get that I had to back the saddle height adjustment screws pretty much all the way out. The low E sits 8mm from the guitar body. It's not like I can shim the neck on this thing lol.

If anyone has done anything like this, please let me know. I'm unsure how to 'seal' the shell once I carve a trench for the GK.

Ahhh. I see that there has been some material removed to fit the pickup. Well, I don't feel so bad now. If there's drywall under the candy coating of this thing, then I'll just hit it with epoxy or something similar.
