Maybe a next generation VDrum. I've seen discounts recently on some of the kits at Sweetwater.

The "new instrument category " I predict will be a Roland version of Zoom ARC

Stay tuned for an exciting new floor unit that represents the latest evolution of BOSS's leading effects technology.

Observe they do NOT say:

Stay tuned for an exciting new floor unit that represents the latest evolution of BOSS's leading Guitar Synth technology.

So I do not expect a release of an improved SY-300 anytime soon.

Also I still suspect the guitar Floor product  will be "dumbed down cross between ME-80 and GT-100 and Roland US product Manager got a heads up on new products in June, and decided to find other work opportunities

Based upon early close up photo of new Boss guitar processor

Jon Lan, A member at TGP created this mockup of the possible new Boss floor pedal

Bummer because I really like the ME-80 GP-10 style dual foot switches. And they are robust and They place more control per square inch of my limited on stage  real estate

By contrast these new illuminated square buttons appear to be prone to failure

How do we know those aren't blue outlines around tiny rubber push buttons meant for fingers?

From the man's own mouth about future trends "going back to basic simple",
so we might see OD1 stomp pedals with Bluetooth connectivity included for checking the settings via you cell phone during a gig?

Remote MIDI over Bluetooth control is  how lots of gear works today

Marshall Code amps, Line-6 Firehawk FX , Hotone Xstomp

I expect Boss to release a "me too" Bluetooth controlled fX

other MIDI over Bluetooth gear

Korg nanoKey Studio
and
Aalberg Ekko

Phase Two in BOSS's pursuit of the ideal rock sound.
(New Products:Amplifier A, B, C, D)

( . )( . )

Hopefully there's a stereo combo...doubt it, but a mono combo would at least get me interested (unless it's $1000)...

Well we'll know tomorrow. I don't know what time though.

I've got a covers gig coming up and have been looking for a lightly used ME80. I might see what Boss has for us tomorrow. It might sway my decision.

Seems that guitarists can expect little of this event, there is some possibility, even a remote one, of a GR55 or VG99 replacement?

Zero chance for that being offered

I expect a new ME-80 class unit with Vocal processing

(Would enjoy being wrong!)

It will go live here tomorrow

Following the "BREAKTHROUGH" philosophy, BOSS continues to leverage its 40 years of knowledge and expertise to develop innovative products that meet the needs of today's musicians. Stay tuned for an exciting new floor unit that represents the latest evolution of BOSS's leading effects technology.

Maybe the new amps will be in line with Fender Mustang / Marshall code as there are four of them...

I do expect new Amps that have USB and work with Boss Tone Studio
http://bosstonecentral.com/about/

Probably explains why Boss is not responding to BTS bug reports for past 6 months

The Fender Mustang III V2 remains market leader with stereo XLR DI outputs and stereo FX and Celestian G12T-100 speaker @ $325 street price

http://shop.fender.com/en-US/guitar-amplifiers/contemporary-digital/mustang-iii-v.2/2300300000.html

Maybe Roland / Boss will finally compete with Fenders 5 year old design , but I expect them to charge double or triple compared to an equivalent Fender Mustang Amp

6 hours and 55 minutes from now, which will be 09/09/2016 4:00PM local time,

will be kicking off near here in Auckland, I believe displaying DJ software called Serato.

1st item...
"DJ-808" collaboration with Serato and Roland.
A live DJ controller which brings live element back to DJ mixing.

not my thing, but it seems they have upped the audio sampling rates to 96kHz, the reverb in it sounds nice and rich.

Good to see the CEO of Roland was here in NZ for the launch.
