Here is the example of my 613 Pad, using the GK volume knob. My job on this tune was to build a pad tone for the background. We are playing as a 4 piece band this week...drums, bass, rhythm guitar, and me...adding the Pad. I attached my pad settings for anyone interested. :)

I use to do the same until i discovered these;

load them them on an USB and use the built in Audio player. Free me to play other types lead fills.

This pad is subtle, almost sounds like its just a bit of reverb. It is triggered simultaneously with the guitar?
electric: Epiphone Dot semihollow body, acoustic: mahogany jumbo, recording: Cubase Artist 11 or Tascam DP008

On this song, our worship leader (playing acoustic rhythm guitar, singing) wanted me to play only the pad tone...to give a soft feel to the song. Most of the time I will also have my guitar pickups turned up...adding arpeggio notes. Cover bands usually follow the song like the original, worship bands often change things  'on the fly' (as the Sprit leads), changing tempo...starting with the chorus, or bridge returning to a verse not used in rehearsal.....so a recorded part would be hard to add to the mix  :)

The pad is all in one key, so you'll have to match it to the song's key but it sit underneath the chord changes. I then used the PCM tones' more upfront type synths to decorate the song like shimmer pad in fifths and what not. Anywho great cover BTW.

You may have seen my posts before.  I played on a very small worship team for my former church so I'd create backing tracks for the leader to sing to.  Sometimes I'd lead worship so I would load the .wav file onto a flash drive and pop it into the GR-55.  I would set the GR-55 to an acoustic guitar voice and just play/sing along with the track.

Alas, our last service was this past Easter and my wife and I are now attending another church.  No plans to join the worship team.

Blessings,
