I've got a Roland ready Strat and a GR-09 that I like to mess with.  Would it be worth getting the expansion board?  What other tones will I get with it?

The GR-09 was released in 1993

The GR9E-1 offers 180 new high quality tones for the GR-09 Guitar Synthesizer.

This user-installable board provides 4 Mbytes of new samples taken from the
SR-GR-01 Expansion Board, including ethnic instruments, guitars, electric
pianos, synth waveforms and many more. When installed into a GR-09, a total of
360 tones are available.

- it was replaced in 1997 by the Roland GR-30.

I suspect it would be cheaper, and preferred  to upgrade to a gently used GR-30 or GR-33

, that includes all the upgrades, and tracks faster than the GR-09   - or get something newer

GR30 is a good option - it tracks well and the synth tones are very good - also has features the later GR20 lacks

Thanks for the replies!  I've been looking at the GR-30 or GR-20.  Perhaps that's the way to go.
