Sale ends Sept 15 - by the time you price the optional Encoders at the normal $60 price each price - the ATG Luthier kit $$ more than doubles after Tuesday

Looks like you need to get the 5 way switch to easily get the 2/4 Strat positions easily.. I need to figure out which switches to get real quick ???

Read the thread

I recommend order the ATG kit with the 5 way

Then order a higher quality 3-way separately ( the one they supply is prone to failure)
See the links I provided

Its a good idea ( and grand gesture )

(I'm already maxed out spending wise for  this billing cycle ;) )

Just placed  order for 2, ;D, LP spacing both with 5 way , 1 blk knobs, 1 chrome... now the 1 week wait to arrive.

My plan is install one kit in a test guitar - to fully explore the user interface and test for best audio path - then use that as a basis for comparing the external  Custom GK13 to Antares ATG box

I have an old Variax 500 with no electronics that might become my "fast path for ATG  test guitar"

But Ive thought about mounting the ATG Luthier kit inside an electrical box and mount that to the side of a Ministar

Im a firm believer in getting to know and work the system in real world use - then carefully plan the requirements for our "Custom GK13 to Antares ATG box" - so we get it right!

Just ordered two full two-encoder strat kits.  They will stay unopened and ready when someone needs one.

Gotta love this place!

I wonder if this is an effort to clear existing stock before introducing a new product?

It was tied up before under the requirement to be pre-qualified as a Luthier

But these finally went on sale to the general public a couple months ago.

Read the ATG 3.01 Manual - its powerful DSP, same as used in the ATG-1

Quick question:

The luthier installation manual mentions logging into Guitar Manager to download software, using the Peavey AT-200B breakout box and a special MIDI cable.  Should we be buying those as well?

Here's another thought: if there's a way to get individual string outputs from the ATG, wouldn't it make sense to have it first in line, then split into the various synths?  The idea of perfectly in tune 13-pin signals is very appealing.

2 out from board, yes.  Is it 2 out from DSP chip?

The DSP only has one PCM I2S stereo output that feed one Stereo DAC. (= 2 analog outputs)

It does not have 6 outputs

Thanks!  Too bad - it was a nice thought.

Now here another option for mobile guitarists and what to use with the Antares Internal DSP kit.

I located a gently played Fender Fishman Tripleplay Strat that was very well maintained ( with a recent fret polishing)

The overlooked feature of this guitar is its built in USB Class compliant Audio Interface  -

its very clean, i believe its 24 bit, and this guitar is an excellent foundation for mods
( see the thread in progress how it install an internal GK Kit in Fender Fishman Tripleplay Strat)

or leaving it stock and be productive. Locate the side mounted  USB jack, and connect headphones, then  connect a mini USB Cable between the guitar and your WinPC/ MacBook, or connect to an Apple USB Camera Adapter and connect to your iPad or iPhone. Its simple, and effective and clean audio.
