Hi
The Ax100 MKII has a GM set of 'samples', but also an XG set of samples.
The GM set is accessed by ordinary Patch Change command (PC), but even with internet searching, the XG set (some 400 more samples) seem inaccessible.
Does anyone here know of a CC or other midi combination or other code combination which can access the XG dataset?

Many DB50XG owners find XG-Gold XG Editor handy too

Hi Elanctric, thanks for your continued help, and your SOS job on the USB>Midi device problem which was potentially project-death.

I checked out the XG Gold reference you advised of, and, in the context of Axon Ax100 MKII, it is not quite relevant, and could be well out of date.  I am presuming that you have ability to delete/edit the posts, so I'd recommend that you delete that reference.

After deliberating over the Axon GUI editor for some time, I eventually realized that the XG samples on the Axon are addressable by via the PRESETS tab, therein under CONTROLLER, PROGRAM, and  BANK MSB.  The XG samples are fully addressable this way, directly in the Axon GUI, and checkable in realtime.

If I can be of any more help to you in this matter, just ask, even if you need this message rewritten for clarity, and reposted.
You and yours are welcome to download any of the music on my website http://www.JoeGarvey.com , though it's not likely the rave that could be made with an Axon Ax100 MKII...

Actually the Yamaha DB50XG  Daughter Board was THE Sound board for most Axons  can be accessed by the Axon's 5pin MIDI I/O - so any third party XG  Editor can edit the DB50XG Sound Board
