This is what i want to do, so i can control my (future to be) GR55 from my FCB 1010, without taking more space on the ground. Is it possible to take all of its inner parts, remove the expression pedal and footswitches, and allocate the screen in front of the rack? Or is it just a dream of mine?

This is an option I have considered myself, it think it's do-able.
The rack would need to be 2U to fit the display in the front, the display ribbon connector would have to be extended.
The buttons can be extended with simple wiring soldered across the existing buttons, not sure about the rotary encoder.
You will need a remote footswitch jack for the CTL pedal as a lot of functions depend on that.

Please keep us posted on your progress.  I tried to go down this road, but found it impractical since proper function of S1/S2/GK Vol relies on the presence of the rather bulky "control daughterboard" (I just made that up: the board connecting all of the patch change switches, etc.)  Were it not for this dependency, I'd have a 9"x4" GR55:

I'll keep you guys posted, but for now i'm so afraid i might screw something  :-[
Specially in my country where i don't have a decent Roland support.

I guess i'll go for the easy road, and buy a Rack Case with notebook space, to fit the GR55 in.
But if someone does take success in making GR55 fit in a rack unit, please post here.
