need help, my Roland ready strat approx. 1999/2001 has stopped working, however on my GR55 it will work perfectly on 1 patch, ive reset the GR55 to factory and it also has latest firmware, it also works perfect on my other GK2A guitar. the Roland strat doesn't work at all on my GR30. all functions seem to work on both GR's including tuning, patch select etc but just no sound coming out...any ideas please?

You probably already did this, but I'll throw it out there anyway. Have you spayed DeOxit into the 13-pin jack on the strat and the cable? Using the same cable with the strat and your other GK-equipped guitar?

You also mentioned that the RR Strat works perfectly on one patch on the GR-55 - is that a mag-only patch?

When you say "all functions seem to work on both GR's including tuning, patch select etc but just no sound coming out" is that with the RR strat, or only with the other GK2a guitar? If the RR strat is getting signal to the GR-55 tuner function then the problem is probably not the strat.

on the GR55 user 08-3 DeepWater (openE) is the only patch that will work on roland ready strat, the toggle switch doesn't appear to do anything although the 2 buttons work fine when selecting patches, when I plug in my other gk guitar, the gr55 and gr30 work perfect. all my cables are fully working also

Actually there's probably nothing wrong with your guitar

and specifically

checked all switches and pots with a meter and all working fine so it must be the small pcb...anyone else had this problem? checked all solder too

Plug it in and check whether you're getting power FROM the GR-55 to your PCB?
..loose (or otherwise connection) either via the 13-pin jack or the PCB connection plug or somewhere else in that chain..    ???

..just a thought from Oz...
