IK Multimedia is pleased to introduce its new "Max" series of bundles. Now musicians, producers and more have a better way to quickly get their hands on complete collections of some of IK's most powerful music creation tools for up to 90% off the price it would cost to purchase each piece of gear offered individually. These bundles include AmpliTube Max, T-RackS Max and SampleTank Max plus a Total Studio Max bundle that combines all three plus Miroslav Philharmonik 2. Now, thanks to these new bundles, anyone and everyone can take their musical creativity to the max.

AmpliTube Max – Maximum tone
Guitar and bass players will be blown away by the sonic flexibility offered in this bundle. It effectively gives musicians the keys to their very own fully stocked tone studio. It comes with AmpliTube 4,AmpliTube 3, AmpliTube MESA/Boogie, Ampeg SVX, AmpliTube Fender, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Edition, AmpliTube Orange, AmpliTube Slash and more. In total it gives users a virtual collection of over 300 pieces of gear that includes meticulously rendered models of some of the most sought after amplifiers, cabinets, stomp boxes, rack effects and mics on the planet.

T-RackS Max – Maximum processing
Producers and engineers will love T-RackS Max. It's a comprehensive, high-quality mixing and mastering suite that features all the processors in T-RackS 4 Grand plus all the new individual processors. It's a collection of over 33 units that includes compressors, limiters, equalizers, channel strips, reverbs, delays and more. These processors have all been modelled after some of the most desirable classic hardware units of all time. Like all T-RackS models, each one can be used individually or as a part of a T-RackS mastering chain.

SampleTank Max – Maximum music
SampleTank Max is the definitive version of the ultimate sound and groove workstation. It comes withSampleTank 3 plus 22 additional Instrument Collections. These additional collections include Art Deco Piano, Cinematic Percussion, Hugh Padgham Drums, American Acoustic, the Elektronika series, the Beats series, and more. All told, it has a massive 50GB+ library of instruments, loops, midi patterns and more. These sounds can all be manipulated using the full power of SampleTank 3. This includes its 55 high-quality effects, intuitive 16-channel DAW-style mixer and powerful synth section.

Total Studio Max – Maximum value
Each of the aforementioned bundles offers an extreme degree of affordability and power. The Total Studio Max bundle takes this concept to the next level by collecting all of the previous bundles into one all-inclusive package. It also comes with Miroslav Philharmonik 2, the most emotionally expressive orchestral collection ever released. It's a quick, easy and affordable way for musicians to have a complete and fully outfitted digital music studio.

Allen & Heath has launched three new mini mixers from its acclaimed ZED analogue console range, including the first ZEDi hybrid mixer / interface. The ZED-6, ZED-6FX and ZEDi-8 are designed with all the features and quality required by musicians, recording artists and for AV work, in a compact, portable format.

"The new ZED models deliver Allen & Heath's renowned build and audio excellence in a small format, making it the ideal choice for quality conscious musicians, singer / songwriters and venues. Whether it's bouncing ideas around at home, performing live or recording tracks to share on YouTube and Soundcloud, they are versatile companions for every step of the creative journey," comments Allen & Heath product specialist, Harry Garcia.

All the new models feature 2 mono channels with separate XLR and TRS jack sockets and 2 Stereo channels. The mono channels include DI high impedance circuitry for the jack sockets, allowing guitars to be plugged straight into the mixer without the hassle and expense of carrying separate DI boxes.

Additionally, the ZED-6FX includes a new in-house designed FX system which encompasses multi-FX models, combining reverbs, delays, doublers, chorusing, and other modulators to create a dynamic and varied suite of studio quality sound effects.

The ZEDi-8 combines a compact mixer with a 24bit 96kHz 2×2 USB interface, providing recording and playback to a Mac or PC or to an iOS device (using a Camera Connection Kit), with flexible source routing options. ZEDi-8 is bundled with Cubase LE music production software and the Cubasis LE mobile music production app.

All of the new mixers provide optimal sound quality due to the new GSPre preamp design, developed from the GS-R24 professional studio console, which provides exceptionally low noise and massive headroom.

Styled in attractive moulded chassis and metal front panel, all the new ZED models also feature 2-band EQ, 60mm smooth travel master mix faders, channel monitoring and 48V phantom power. Unique in this type of product is the individual channel PCB construction with nutted pots and a robust internal, universal voltage power supply for extended life in the toughest environments.

"These three new ZED mixers combine high-end pro audio design with a compact styled case to give ultimate performance with just the right features you need. The exceptional preamp design, handy guitar DIs, the ZED-6FX's simply astounding FX algorithms, the ZEDi-8's powerful USB interface, and the internal PSU, are stand out features which offer so much more than the average mixer in this area," concludes Allen & Heath's R&D designer, Mike Griffin.

NAMM has been great this year, seen many old friends in the industry.

Been brainstorming opportunities for modern guitar with Aure Prochazka ( original founder of www.vg-8.com), Vance Galoway, Thomas Nordegg, Don Ramsay ( Linear Tremolo)

Talked with Mr Yoshiro Ikegami ( President of  Roland /Boss Corp) I asked what the furture holds for Roland GK divided PU guitars and processors.
He told me : " We are proud of our GK products and will continue to introduce more new GK products in the future".

New Mackie control surface for DL32r is awesome

I asked if there was anything brewing in the future for synth stuff from Roland.

Interestingly, I was cryptically told that future incarnations are a ways out but that they will be utilizing the regular 1/4" output, like the SY-300.

That was exciting to me.

http://www.kvraudio.com/news/sonivox-announces-pitch2midi---real-time-audio-to-midi-conversion-plugin-32347

"SONiVOX's Pitch2MIDI software plugin doesn't require you to record your audio first, then stop and wait to hear the results as the audio is pre-processed. SONiVOX's Pitch2MIDI software works in real time, immediately converting the audio signal into MIDI events so you can hear the results while your singing or playing. The old way of first having to record your audio severely hampered the artist's ability to create spontaneously. With Pitch2MIDI, artists can sing or play while hearing their virtual instruments at the same time. Pitch2MIDI is an audio effect plug-in that takes real-time vocal or instrumental monophonic audio input and instantly transforms it into accurate MIDI output."

How does it handle pitchbends, I wonder?

By using an RMC Fanout Box or similar, or the ability to output each string separately via USB on some of the newer GK / GR  units, presumably one could record all six strings of a guitar simultaneously, each on its own track, and then convert each string's track to midi afterwards.

I might find that an interesting ability to have.

My dream of a GK-driven VSynth is still alive.  ;)

Great review of new gear. I like Audio Sprockets Tonedexter. It is basically a Kemper for acoustic guitar. Very nice, apart from the price...
