Witch one would you buy?

Ez Drummer2 @ 179$
Jamstixx @ 99$

Heard that both are loved for home studio Recording.

I just got on the Komplete page showing Studio Drummer @ 150$... Another way to make the sélection harder.

I just want to have a décent sound and ease or use.

Importing drum tracks from guitar pro?
Easy loops and fill controls?

Any thoughts? Which one are you using?

Thanks guys!

I have the original EZDrummer and have always been very happy with it. Watching the EZDrummer2 introduction video, it looks to be even better. I can't help with the comparison to the others your asking about as I have not used them but I can vouch for EZDrummer sounding very real in samples and dynamics. V.2 does seem to have more options which may create a bit of a learning curve but the addition of the song builder and apparently being a stand alone, adds to the joy of it. The others may be better or worse, I honestly don't know, but you wouldn't be disappointed with EZDrummer2.

Addictive Drums is the best by far ...

I tried them all and those two don't even come close .

Buy the first version , Addictive drums 2 sounds exactly the same and it have the same amount of loops , only difference is that it consumes WAY more RAM memory ...

So yeah , buy Addictive drums 1 , all the expansions and be happy forever more :-)

I just purchased Jamstix 3 and I am really quite pleased with it! ;D 59$ on sale now

Thanks guys for Your input. By the way, with your choices, I should be able to do my metal drum parts with those.

One consurn, if I want to add industrial sounds (drumwise) do they come with expansion packs or should I go with my fruity loops for those?

Thanks again

Regards,

ND

Again, don't know about the others but EZDrummer has a boat load of expansion  packs for different kits and percussion. check out the site here and scroll thru info and demo vids...

Addictive Drums has expansion packs, but I don't remember any that are industrial. I also don't think you can load your own samples ...

I prefer Superior Drummer 2.
I have Addictive Drums 2 as well and think SD2 is more versatile and responsive.

The SDX libraries are amazing.

And now we have a new one "superior Drummer"  :-\

Looks like there's no absolute solution on that one.

I guess that I'll have to try a couple of one to make my one opinion with your suggestions.

Superior Drummer 2.0 on sale now for 179.99 - no-brainer!

superior Drummer 2 and EZDrummer 2 are both Toontracks products. I think the Superior 2 is the pro version. Compare and see which suits your needs.

Hey guys, your inputs are great help.

I have the trials of Adddictive and ezdrummer2.

So far I prefer much more the ezdrummer interface witch is way more easy to work with.
Addictive drummer sounds way better thought.

No trials for superior drummer2 witch is why I'm asking you this.
Does it have the same interface has ezdrummer but with the addictive drummer sound?
Or we are talking about a third beast?
Sale ends tomorrow so A fast response will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again & have a great new year!

Flipping coin now......... heads or tails? ;D

Here is a good comparison between EZdrummer2 and addictive drummer 2

And one between EZdrummer and Superior drummer.  NOTE that Superior drummer seems to be more aligned with Addictive Drummer in its features.

Hey guys,

First of thanks for your input!

I spent quite all the evening yesterday trying to read everywhere and playing with the demos and ended up buying Addictive Drums 2: rock & metal pack edition.
By adding the "reel machine" pack, I should be able to do what I want.

That version seems to suit my needs in an easy way. Still not convinced that I made the right choice though 😳. The more I was searching, the more options were adding, witch made me think that it could last forever before I make a decision.

Superior drummer seamed too much time consuming for my little projects, and some features on AD2 made my decision easier. Did it?

Worst case scenario, I'll buy another one in a month 😂

Thanks again guys and have a great new year!

Good choice - can't really go wrong with the sound samples offered today and simplicity is key as well.
