As some know, I have mounted my GK2a using a DIY approach because it came used without the holder with the help of some IKEA L-Shaped metal support. However the distance with intended position sometimes prevents me from using it easily to control functions.
In your experience what's best to do? Where do I can get one? Tried eBay but with no results or outrageous prices.

A picture of where you want it to sit on your guitar would help. Finding a metal angle that you can cut or grind down to shape is my first guess. My second would be to get some pick guard material and shape it so that you can use existing screw holes with longer screws to fasten it down. It's hard to guess without seeing it though.

This is where it sits now.
As far as I can tell, it's usually closer to guitar jack.
I was thinking about using wood to manufacture an holder but your idea of using an old pickguard it's good as well.
Thanks!

You might be able to use the screw holes for your 1/4" jack if that's closer to where you would like it. Pick guard material might not be stiff enough though. A metal plate might work better. You'd want a little felt or something between whatever you use and the paint.

Keep us posted.

It took me a lot of time but finally, for 24 Euro... the solution was under my eyes.
I got the idea from a post in this forum. So simple. Need a spare part? Ask Roland!

So I did. Problem solved. Kudos to Roland!

More Kudos to VG Forum!
