Hi everybody

I'm new in this forum and maybe this topic is answered somewhere else, but:
I have owned a Vg 88 for 9 years and have ordered a Gr 55. Of course I know it's a difference i the synth features, but how is the COSM features in the 55 compared to the 88? Is it a lot you can do with the 88 that you can't with the 55, regarding to effects and COSM? I'm hoping to sell the 88 as soon as I'm into the 55.

Should I bother to change from the GK2A to the GK3 or is just minimal differences?

The big hurdle with the GR-55 is lack of user expression controls - you only have the one expression pedal, or 8 external MIDI CC# controllers or the GK-3 controls to use for controller assignments.

Also the GR-55 has a long 200 millisecond patch change mute on every patch change - forces some to keep the GR-55 in the studio, as its too frustrating in live use.

But there are many creative work-arounds - Try to design GR-55 patches that can be morphed using the GR-55's on-board expression pedal, and stick to one patch per song.
