Hi to all! Please, help with the situation.
I got attached my PU with screws so that white markers are not directly under the strings.
The questions are (mainly for moderators):
Does the markers' movement mean the inner PU mechanism will move too? Or it's just a marker and its movement means nothing?
Can I get the better effect by placing them directly under the strings with the already screw-attached PU?
Sorry for my english. I'm russian. Greetings from my country :)
I advise follow all instructions here for mounting the GK-3B
http://www.roland.com/V-Guitar/gk3b-requirements.html (http://www.roland.com/V-Guitar/gk3b-requirements.html)

Thanx, Elantric.
Unfortunately there's no answer on my question. I want know if there're moving parts inside the PU and its ability to be moved by markers.
I'll try an answer :
Both side of the pickup are three pole piece attached together , so when you move the lower strings parts only three strings are affected , low B , E and A string. On the other side are D , G and C strings.
A good tip for GK3b adjustment:
- make a mark with a pen under each string on the pickup casing
- remove strings
- put 6 little metalic things (like little screws) on the pickup , they will magnetically align themselves over the pickup.
- Align the screws over the marks you made
fokof has pretty much explained it.
The GK-3B hex pickup is split internally into two x three pole pickups, adjustable to suit different string widths of different basses.
The white markers indicate the centre of the pickup middle pole, and is best aligned with the "E" string and the "G" string, loosen the holding screws first, (I broke one marker off mine), before using the marker peg to adjust the pickup width offset, or alternatively use the screwdriver still seated in the locking screw.
The indent mark in the middle of the pickup needs to align exactly between the "A" and "D" strings.
Odd thing about the cable into the GK-3B is it comes out the middle-rear of the pickup, where the guitar GK-3 cable runs out the end of the pickup.
Very very thanx to you, fokoff & gumtown! I heard the things I supposed.
fokof's advice is great!
Yeah fokof gave the right instructions. The marking with the pen is most important as you'll need the reference to put the strings back in alignment. Hence, do it carefully.
