Hi, this is a cover I did for my New England Conservatory audition.

Everything except the drums is guitar or guitar synth. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I hope the admissions committee feels the same way. ;)

I played everything to a click and then recorded the drums last. The second half of the song (from the clave, where the song shifts to 4/4 from 5/4) is Superior Drummer, because the drummer wasn't tight enough at the 150 bpm the song ends up at. So I just picked fills that sounded right with the solo I was playing.

The violin patch is great-it actually makes you play like a violinist, with slides and much more horizontally. You also have to play verrrry cleanly, because if you accidentally hit notes on two strings at the same time, you get this almighty clipping noise like the Last Trump.
