I didn't own a gauss meter. But I observed greater magnetic Flux After remagnetizing, and this increased the voltage output from the pickup  = louder. I no longer have access to a pickup demagnetizer - it was lost in the Valley Arts fire in 1992.

To remagnetize a Gibson Humbucker, it requires full disassembly of the pickup, then the PU's Bar magnet is the component that gets remagnetized. Then the pickup gets reassembled, and typically must be dipped in wax to prevent microphonic feedback.

It exposes the pickup to potential damage if not done by a pro,

Guitar:  Fender Stratocaster
Hex PU:  Roland GK3

Sens 1st 36
Sens 2nd 32
Sens 3rd 29
Sens 4th 29
Sens 5th 29
Sens 6th 29

I have the two highest strings set to the 36 and 32 settings so they equal the output of the other strings.

Hmmm - should I reduce some?  It works pretty good except when digging in the overdrive seems much more pronounced, it needs to go back a
little more in terms of overall volume.  But the 2nd example provided is too minimal...   But - this is a cool patch!
