in regards to small portable stereo amp for use with VG/GR/GP -  I can say I was very impressed by the sound and high decibel level emerging from the Mackie Freeplay

What type of jack is the monitor out on that free play?

Edit: manual states 1/4" TRS.

Cool idea, battery operation, stereo, but what a weird looking thing.

Freeplay employs a 1/4" TRS balanced Line output jack for Monitor Out

I gotta say I've seen more unique stuff from your NAMM reporting Elantric than anywhere else on the web so thanks!

Thanks for the info Elantric.

This FreePlay really looks interesting and for a small PA it has more than enough power. I just hope it comes with a reasonable price.

Me too - sadly I overheard $500 was the expected price for Mackie FreePlay  - rather steep considering i purchased Two Alesis 1000Watt Alpha 112A powered 12" cabs for $400 with free shipping.

Looks like $399 is the Street price for Mackie FreePlay  -
