(Sorry if this is the wrong forum, couldnt see which was relevant - if any)

I just plugged my GR30 in after quite a while of sitting on a shelf.
I have GR55 AND GR33, but I like teh arp on the GR30, so its not superseded.

However I have 2 issues.

1. The edit switches have seized up. At least the mian EDIT/PLAY button has. So does anyone know the exact type so I may try a soldering jobby?
If possible, can you quote a supplier and part number (Mouser or whatever) I get component from Elfa in Scandinavia (https://www.elfaelektronikk.no/elfa3~no_no/elfa/init.do?init=1)

2. There may be more wrong. Although this might be that Ive forgotten some small but vital thing. Im getting silence out of it. And when I operate the S1 switche, instead of it changing patches, the light indicating effects off is lit. If I operate the S2 switch, the display changes from PDL (pedal mode) to the numeral 1. (This is when I have the Parameter Select knob turned to PATCH INC/DEC...

The theory: I think that in trying to get the broken button to work, Ive inadvertently pressed series of switches that has implemented a mode that I never used...
Can someone help me out?

Try a full GR-30 Reset first

http://www.rolandus.com/assets/press_media_resources/Factory_Reset.pdf

Reset Roland GR-30

Power on while holding Pedal #2, then press the PATCH+ button to select INI. Press
EDIT/PLAY. Then press PATCH+ and PATCH- simultaneously

... may have to get those switches fixed first...

See if it has a lithium CR2032 battery inside.
If it has gone flat, some buttons may stop working as they should, and patches may be corrupted.
Removing the battery for half hour, then replacing with a new one will aso have the same effect as a factory reset.
Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

Just to report that the problem was that I had inadvertently turned off Local control. Weirdly in the instructions it said that it would revert to Local Control ON after a power off. This is DID NOT, and After I performed the trick to switch OFF local control, it was now off..

So it seems to be working, albeit with a sticky, almost non operational edit button.

Spray a short blast of Caig DeOxit on the internal GR30 switches to restore operation.

One of these buttons in my GR-30 was working bad, Alcohol helped it, pouring inside under contacts as much as I could, then drying it. THis is just a possible case
