I just got a TriplePlay and installed it. it works extremely well, I'm delighted with it. I had been using a YRG which has its strengths but you have to fight it all the time. The Triple PLay is great despite the counterintuitive and needlessly complex software

I like to add piano sounds to my tracks, and I'd like to be able to use a sustain pedal. How do I do this? Fishman has a explanation which I didn't find very useful or clear. I'd like to do it as simply as possible.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Thank you. I did read that, multiple times, and did not find it helpful. I'm not trying to trigger patches on the fly, I'm trying to use a piano-style sustain pedal. Most of those come only with 1/4 plugs: how to I get them into the midi stream? Is there a simple way? That link does not tell me

MIDI Sostinuto

The sostenuto pedal is a type of selective sustain pedal found on acoustic grand-pianos. Pressing down the pedal, sending controller value CC#66 with a value of 127, while holding notes on the keyboard will cause these notes to be sustained after you release them. Any notes played after pressing the pedal will not sustain. When the pedal is released it sends out controller value CC66 with a value of 0.

You need a MIDI floor controller that can re-assign one of its pedals to transmit MIDI Sostinuto
Like a FBV Shortboard MK II or KMI SoftStep or NI RigKontrol 3 or Logidy UMI-3

Or use a MOTU 828 Interface   - that also has an external Controller 1/4" input that can be used with a typical 1/4" momentary foot switches to transmit  MIDI Sostinuto

Thank you, that gets me closer to where I want to be

I'm trying to get a Line 6 Helix to send proper sustain messages to TriplePlay (Momentary, cc 66, 'on is 126 and 'off is 0) and so far no luck.
