I am thinking it would be a good idea to have a separate pedal  to control volume for the unit. I have the buit in pedal control volume on some patches but mostly to toggle between COSM guitar and synth tones. I get confused as to which patches it is a volume pedal so I think it would be better to have a dedicated pedal for volume. What pedals would work for this? I have an EV-5 but I don't see any way that it would connect. Should I just get a stern volume pedal and place it between the GR 555 and the FRFR monitor? Any reconditions for pedals.

You could use an external MIDI controller.

Or external stereo volume control,  simplests solution. No MIDI assigns has to be set.
Maybe FCV100

But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!

I went with the stereo volume pedal. Seemed like the simplest and least expensive solution.

Could you please let me know which stereo pedal you went for?

I'm also curious. Please let us know how it sounds & works for you, as in, do you recommend it?
