Can anyone identify this guitar? It is hex equipped with a multi pinned connector on the side. It sits in a local pawn shop.

The pics didn't post. Another inadequacy in Tapatalk support on this site, I guess.

Sorry to waste your time. Thanks for playing.

Pics look fine

Correct  - 1980 Roland GR-303  1st gen with "wide" Hex PU  - - more details at Wayne Joness's GR-300 Site here:

http://www.joness.com/gr300/G-303.htm

These can work with modern 13 pin systems by using a Roland BC-13 24 pin to 13 pin adapter
http://www.joness.com/gr300/bc13_S.htm

or one of Dr Wayne Joness's adapters here

How much are they asking for it at the local pawn shop?

Cool!  A friend of mine owned one of those in the mid-80's, along with whatever synth was current then.  Actually that friend is a forum member now, but I can't remember her user name...

Anyway, good memories!

Sorry for not getting back to you. I thought the pics didn't post but apparently they did. I'll drop by the pawn shop and see if they still have it.

Those are highly desirable guitars, based on the Greco GO1000 - they are excellent - you will not want a Les Paul after you try one.

Link to the original Greco catalogs with the GO in it:

Even if you never used it as a synth controller it's part of the wave of Japanese quality electric guitars that made people go "whoa!"

If it's reasonably priced grab it, you will be able to more than make your money on it since these guitars have a following.   You might find your new #1.
