Hello:
I've been enjoying my install of a GK-3 with GR-55 a few weeks now, and of course while the bracket puts the controller in a nice general and aesthetic position, it definitely endangers the connector; way too much bending...
I noticed this link from a years- old post with a perfect picture, where the GK3 controller is rotated counter- clockwise, bringing the cable to a vertical position, so it, and the connector on the GK3 will, or at least CAN be protected.  https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=5065.0

But how is this done? it looks to me that the bracket is used as stock, but there must have been some re-drilling between the controller and the bracket, right? or perhaps it's a custom bracket?
I'm sure this issue comes up, with the connector cable being in such a precarious place, but I haven't found direct discussion.
Any help on this dilemma? I'm not the most readily mechanical guy, I must be missing a detail here.
Thanks

Elantric

I suggest read the GK-3B Manual - the GK-3B ( for Bass) uses the same GK controller as GK-3 for Guitar - but the Bass manual explains far more details about rotating the Gk-3 Controller using different methods  - The Bass Gk-3B Manual includes examples and how to adjust the GK-3 Controller for various different instrument types - its a must read
