Just fishing here.  Does anyone have a Roland Juno-G keyboard, and, if so, have you been able to get drivers loaded successfully in Windows 8.1?  I have not been successful.

I followed the instructions at the bottom of this post, but no luck.

I can also reply to that message.  Just thought I'd try here first since I'm a pure lurker over at Roland Clan - not even sure if I've registered an account.

Keep us posted  - but Roland indicates No USB drivers for Juno-G for recent operating systems
http://roland.com/support/article/?q=information&id=all

- but if you can get the Juno-G Editor to run on Win 8.1  - might be able to use a separate USB<>MIDI cable to connect the Juno-G Editor

FWIW - Juno-G Editor does run on Win-7 64

Another alternative is VMWare running a virtual WinXP OS for hosting the Juno G USb Driver  / Editor

Thanks. Those are both good suggestions!

I know it's been a while but I just got around to trying again, and wanted to post for completeness.

Quotemight be able to use a separate USB<>MIDI cable to connect the Juno-G Editor

That worked like a charm.  Thanks!

I'll add I expect Roland Juno-G Editor NOT to run on Windows 10 -

Windows 10  = Lots of incompatibility with Music Creation apps!
(Roland issued a warning NOT to upgrade to Windows 10 yet- as none of the existing Roland USB drivers for Win 8.1 will be compatible with Widows 10.

Have to remember that Musicians are very bottom of the priority list at Microsoft,

A couple of these airplanes at  $2.1 billion per aircraft  generates more jobs and work and revenue than the ENTIRE Pro Audio  / Music Industry

Yep, that's a problem with all older music devices that interface with computers.  Apple is a little better about it but the problem exists there too.

FWIW, I spent a little time with the Juno-G  Win editor,

and then reverted back to programming it with the amber LCD and onboard OS and buttons.

I didn't find the Win editor to offer any particular advantages with usability, speed, or understandability.   And since it didn't, I'd rather be familiar with the onboard controls so that I'm not dependent on an external editor to make changes.  The librarian might still be worth looking into though.

Haven't looked at using the Win editor for using the firmware 2.0 sampling capabilities yet.  Maybe that'll be good.  Since that feature was bolted onto the OS, I always found it a little awkward to work with.

Love this keyboard though.  Have been gigging with it for a couple of years, and it's a monster.
