Thanks for checking it out.

The routing goes like this:

Carvin TL60 → Primova GKPX-14 → output 1 to Boss SY-1000, output 2 to custom made 13-pin to 24-pin converter feeding the Roland GR-300.

Output 3 is connected to another converter box that feeds a Fishman TriplePlay but that wasn't used here.

It probably sounds more complicated than it really is!

Good advice.

I appreciate it.

Will test the MG2

Thank you.

Combining the old Roland GR-300 with the Boss SY-1000 for dark cinematic vibes. Additional sound layers from KORG wavestate native.

With all respect to the fine people at fullcompass.com, the "large chrome area just behind the front face of the jack" does NOT grip the outer shell of the inserted 13-pin jackplug....ALL it does is provide strengthening to the two plastic mounting 'ears' of the jack, and some iterations, provide a metal surface that presents itself to the locking pawl of the jackplug.

As such, yes, it DOES provide a path for the Ground circuit, but it does nothing to prevent radial movement occurring to the inserted jackplug when it is subjected to sideways stresses during operation....the 'official' Roland /Boss jack has the same width of the circular slot in the plastic moulding to accept the outer shell of the jackplug as most other 13-pin plastic jacks.

It is this movement during use that causes the plastic jack to malfunction in time due to the consequential wear that takes place, when the only resistance to all this movement is the fit between the 13 female contacts in the jack and the 13 male pins in the jackplug.

The metal-body design of Synth-Linx Jacks gives 5 points of constant contact between the inner face of the jack's body and the outer shell of the jackplug itself.

Not only does this maintain excellent reliability in the Ground circuit itself, this design holds the inserted 13-pin jackplug firmly in place during use, and markedly reduces wear in the female contacts in the jack and the male pins in the jackplug.

Almost 11 years on from releasing Synth-Linx products on this Forum, these jacks are still being produced and have had excellent reviews from many users around the World during that time.

Not really trying to bang a drum here, just finally attempting to set the record straight on this after gritting my teeth for many years on the published inaccuracy.

Peace...with all things 13-pin.. ;)

Cheers,
Peter
