Finally got the 10 red + 5 black boxes back from 2-component screen print.
These two guys are the first 100% final units, they work really well and look great  ;D Now I have to build all the others.
Please be patient. I need to test all the other boards and everything... :P
Got them real photos on the homepage: http://www.primovasound.com
But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!

Beautiful work!

Not to nit-pick but might suggest

http://www.primovasound.com/pdf/GKMX42_Manual.pdf
Update the the owners manual Page 6 graphic, update the signal flow direction of the input jack graphic triangle icons and "Receive" Jack icon in the owners manual to match the graphics on the actual GKMX-42 unit - just to avoid confusion for new users.

I have added shipping costs to http://www.primovasound.com and modified the GKMX-42 manual. Sending the first GKMX-41 to Filialen tomorrow. Also I'm trying to convince GassGhost to have my first delivery in US to try the purchase/delivery procedure out. He's hard to convince ;D

I really need to get the GKMX workshop out of the house before X-mas (according to the War Department). She's invited the rest of the family and I have stuff all over the place right now...

Well, no worries, there will be one unit less this afternoon!
Christmas comes early this year!!  ;D

Gassghost

No convincing needed here! I'm giddy with excitement! ! Santa comes early for me too! Pending customs of course. :-\

Thanks Filialen.
You are so kind. But you're right there's been plenty hours spent on this project during the last year.

Even though I tried to be "industrial", every unit produced, tested and shipped is a mouthfull, especially the GKMX-42, around 12-13 hours each. The cabling/switches/jacks is the pain. GKMX-41 is abt. 8-9 hours each. Also you have to deduct the PCB, components and what I paid for making the switches and cables in China, painting and Printing etc. , well, heck I'm sure happy to be in the software business at daytime  ;)

But you know what !!!!

THIS PROJECT HAS MADE ME HAPPY  :D !!!

and....I've still got a few GKMX-41 and GKMX-42 enclosures and PC-boards left,
if somebody out there wants to have MORE THAN ONE GUITAR ON STAGE !!!

Please keep me awake at night with some more orders.

If you have a GR-55 and more than one std or GK guitar....this is it!

There's been questions about the optional 12VDC adapter.
- You must have an adapter if used with standard guitars and amplifier (no synth).
- You may consider an adapter if you have >2 pcs 13-pin guitars and if one is not Roland GK2/3.
- If all are Roland GK2/3, I would consider an adapter if >3 pcs 13-pin guitars.
- The plug should be 2.1mm which is same plug and polarity as BOSS pedals. BOSS adapters are however 9VDC is a bit too low, 12VDC is preferred. NEVER use 15VDC (=barbecue)

I recommend buying a cheap selectable voltage adapter @ 0.8-2 Amps with replaceable plugs.
Set the knob to 12V, pick the correct plug, look carefully so centre pin is - and outer ring is +12V
Then try for a short second. If LEDs lit directly all is fine, if not remove plug immediately. If wrong polarity for more than a few seconds there will be smoke. You don't want that!

It really is fun to use the GR-55 like a regular effects processor.
I've been stuck with my GK equiped guitar for so long!  ;)

Don't worry, hopefully you'll have your box soon!  ;D

Ugh! I'm pretty sure my pedal is here- and I've lost my mailbox key! Time to stake out and stalk our postal worker...

Time to put the gkp-4 on eBay!

CodeSmart

Thanks Gass. It really puts some color to your gear  8)
I see you're using it with two 13-pin guitars and GR-55+VG-99, have you also a volume pedal connected for the VG?

Ya I like the little splash of color on the floor. The cool multi-colored LED's also add a nice visual aspect to my pedal board. Actually, I'm using 1, 13 pin and 1, 24 pin through Wayne Joness's BX-13-VC at the moment. The extra expression pedal is for special assignments like filter sweeps, Wah, bending or blending. I used the 2 expression pedals on the FC-300 for dedicated volume for the VG-99 and the GR-55. I don't use the S1/S2 very much but may now that I can access some additional options with your pedal. Lot's of things to consider...

It's really cool!!!

Thanks,
Gass

Got it! I have to say, I'm very impressed with the build quality. It looks great and is super-solid. It's a tank. Not going to be able to try it out thoroughly for awhile (got a lot of stuff in boxes), but I just wanted to say its a really positive first impression. Great job! I'll try it's minimal functions soon. And then hopefully I can dive into doing crazy stuff with it with the rest of my rig.

This solves so many issues I had, and will really make our live shows much smoother and less worrisome. Awesome.

CodeSmart

I'm really sorry for putting you through this guys.... 7.2 minutes of poor English etc.
I wish I'd sound like Wayne's videos. But I'm born nasal this way in this godforsaken country :P
I spent more than a day on this and it's the best I'll probably get it:

Super nice of you to remark on my videos, if it was possible, I would outsource my voice over and guitar playing demos to someone else!

Wayne, your gear and videos are top notch and I have the deepest respect/admiration for your work helping people here with all your accessories :)

I tried to convince my daughter to do the talking but unfortunately she rejected, telling me it's not "soooo" bad 8) I really prefer working at the engineering department...
