Hi guys,
Firstly ,thanks to you all for this forum..
Its been so useful and helpful..

I have a Mainstage setup where i'm running Omnisphere
along side the GR55 ,which is via usb, triggering the
patches but i cant get Omnishpere to do Hold type 2
(so i can play over the held notes without re triggering them or new ones)
from either external or GR55 foot /ctrl switch.
The GR55 does it fine but not the softsynth.
Is there any way anyone knows, to set either Omnisphere to hold 2 (no re trigger),
or to get the GR55 to transmit hold type 2 info to Mainstage..
In Mainstage there is a setting for Hold 2 but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Much head scratching has been done , any help greatly welcomed.
Many Thanks,
-Rossco

Hi.
I haven't used Omnisphere, but I was able to get Reaktor to do this by building some additional software structures in the program. If there is no other way, you could resort to a hardware hack like what I did a long time ago for the GR-50:

I stumbled on this thread looking for an answer on doing the same, but with Logic Pro X's instruments....

Does anybody knows an easier way to achieve this?

Might be able have the GR-55 transmit a MIDI CC message (using GR55 Control Assignments), and feed a MIDI Solutions Event Processor Plus that remaps the received MIDI CC# message to the suitable "Hold type 2" MIDI command you require.
