Very similar to the original sound.  Kim used Fender and Mesa amps on the album and an open crybaby WAH to achieve this classic tone.  In an interview he said that Chris wanted to come up with a tone that no amp could reproduce but there was no VG-99 back then ;) His other gear consisted of a Guild SG, Boss Chorus, and two DOD FX10 Bi-FET Preamp pedals.  Kim said he always put the Bass at 12 O'Clock, Middle 11, and Treble at about 2.

I have also covered to tunings in this patch.
The first is a Drop-B Tuning which was used on Rusty Cage and the second is a Drop-D Tuning which was used on Jesus Christ Pose.
You alternate between tunings using the GK Pickup selection button.

You turn off/on the open WAH using CTRL1 and you can enable chorus using CTRL2 if you wish.
He never used reverb but I picked up on some slight ambient or plate reverb that must have shown up during their mastering process so I also enabled it.
I through down a poor midi drum track just to play along.
