Elantric, interesting sounds like you got one. How does it sound with your Kemper, Fractal, and GP10, Bias?

Ask me in a week - Andertons UK already shipped this and I expect it mid next week.

Ive been looking for a small "all in one" stereo all purpose amp for small gigs / rehearsals that is smaler than my Traynor K4, - I still have my Cube Street EX, but this $235 deal at Andertons UK was too good to pass up.

True its the new "made in China" Eden amp, but there is a lot of room for mods - like adding stereo XLR outputs on the rear

Had a look, because a good multi-purpose amp always comes in handy. But as far as I can see it lacks a seperate high end driver. So I think frequency response will be disappointing. The specs only go up to 10k, not 20k.

Eden M275 arrived

But so far I've hit a wall, the Amp shipped from UK, set for 230VAC Operation
Upon inspection, if I expect to use this Amp in USA on 120VAC , I need either an external step Up transformer - or swap out the internal UK Toroid transformer for a USA type.

the journey continues . . .

Eden support has really gone downhill, and only a shadow of its former self when back in 2001 you could call the Eden  factory and get excellent service and parts you needed to keep your Eden amp working

Today its just another division of US Music Corp
http://www.usmusiccorp.com/

who is owned by Jam Industries (based in Canada)
http://jamindustries.com/

and the support is sluggish to say the least

and they do not expect to have a 120VAC Power Transformer for the Eden EM275 for 3 months

in the time being I ordered essentially an original  "Juice Goose" Automatic Voltage Stabilizer clone from Pyle Audio ( $130 ebay) ( I needed one for my repair bench anyway)
and it was cheaper than what US Music quoted me for a new transformer

and that allows me to run high wattage 240VAC UK audio gear on my USA 120VAC service.

i still like the form factor of the Eden EM275 a lot  - I hope next week i can have a shoot out between a few all in one stereo amps:
*  Traynor K4
*  Eden EM275
*  Roland Cube Street EX
*  Roland JC-40

i'll be feeding signals from GR-55, GP-10, VG-99,  Kemper, Axe-FX II , Helix and try to write a review

Me too, I've being thinking of upgrading the Mid-drivers of my K4 but maybe there are better options now since i originally bought it.

Read above -
specs made it look great on paper ;)

I got one a year ago.

$499 street in USA

But Andertons UK had them on sale late last year  - it ended up at 189 british pounds and no VAT (around $285 total with shipping to USA )
So I took a gamble - but after getting it all working, its basically  a piece of junk

Very poor audio performance and 1/2 the Decibel level of a Roland Cube Street EX and 2 times the weight

IMHO Eden Amps today are just a shadow of what they once were back 1999 (back then when the company was based in Eden Prarie,  Minnesota they were among the best Bass Amps money could buy at the time)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden_Electronics

Today Eden Amps are just another division of US Music Corp who import these from China  - i doubt any portion of the  Eden Metromix EM-275 amp's design was done in North America  - its just another Asian amp that a US Music marketing agent ordered and put a Eden badge on it.

Ive heard better sound from a Smarvo Amp ( Made in Taiwan) at NAMM

^ - I figured somebody had tried one...sorry it was so disappointing. It seemed like a good idea. I was hoping it would sound close to FRFR and be JC120 loud - lol...

I'm sticking with my Alphas for now, but I had to send one of them back twice for repairs. I'm always scared I'm going to destroy them when their cranked. I also hate that the clip indicators are on the back.
