I read through the threads and see that a lot of people replace the s1/s2 big switches that come in the kit with a single momentary on off on style switch.  Wondering if someone can provide the wiring instructions for doing this.  I think I know how but would like confirmation from someone who has done it.  Would rather not have to drill two half inch holes for those big switches.

Its in the instructions for the GK-Kit-GT3

I just installed one only yesterday.
Some pictures to follow tomorrow in the GK-Bass section

Thanks, I guess I missed that in the installation guide.  I thought it only had wiring for the two big switches.

So is the shield wired to ground or the middle pin?  I wired to ground (the metal case of the switch) and it doesn't seem to work...

Is the metal case of the switch grounded to the GK circuit board wiring?
The centre pin needs to be connected to GK ground (i.e. the shield wire from the GK circuit-board as shown in the circuit diagram)

Yes, the wire is grounded to the shield and then wired to the "shield" wire via the GK/Mix/Gtr switch.  So I'll change that to wire the ground/shield to the middle pin.  I'll post some pix.

Hi, that is exactly what I've used for my GK-3 kit. A momentary toggle switch to replace the BIG S1 and S2 buttons.

I'm really satisfied with my work.
